I've been thinking of how the octopus can learn so quickly, and the only reason they aren't the masterminds of the deep is because they die when their eggs hatch and can't teach their young what they know.

This beautiful girl died of lead poisoning today because the vast majority of people don't give a shit about them, not even enough to prevent lead poisoning. There are a handful of good people in the world, it seems everyone else lacks compassion for anyone that's not a human, so self centered and disgusting. But for real, California for example has banned the use of lead ammunition in areas california condor's ranges. Which would be stupid and useless if this wasn't just the first phase of what they want, since they are looking to phase out lead based ammunition for hunting in the state entirely. For what an average citizen could do other than not using lead-based ammunition if they hunt? Get mad on the internet and raise a stink, I suppose.

So, through selective breeding and over thousands of years we've molded dogs to be what we want them to be.

you'll need a 55g or larger tank, heater, filter, lighting, substrate.
Personally I wouldn't bother with tankmates or live plants right off the bat since both are going to cause problems.
next you probably want an RO/DI unit and a bunch of discus buffer (acid buffer). Also a decent selection of live foods and ground frozen beef heart.
this is a lot of money, in particular the RO unit is pretty pricey. But not really that much when you compare to the cost of the average discus.
