Hey there flower lovers, i got this orchid (pic related) in a test tube and i'm wondering if i could repot it into a regular pot, and if yes, how do i do that? It seems this is Cymbidium orchid, if it happens to be relevant. Thanks a lot guys!
you need bulbs to propagate Cymbidiums.
expect it to start shriveling soon, their flowers are notorious for being unable to deal with temperature and humidity shifts.
Hey /an/
What do you do with your pet's stuff after they die, like collars and toys? Do you leave it with their bodies or do you keep it? Why?
Food I donated to the shelter. Their beds, special toys, and things like leashes and brushes, more or less in the same places they were. They're not in my way anymore than when they were alive, and they keep them in my mind and give me comfort.
I buried my dogs blankets and favourite toys with him. His collar/name tag hangs on the wall beside an old photo of him. Everything else I keep for future pets.
when my cat died i kept its items, because i was planning on getting a new cat in the near future. i just put all the stuff in a box and put it in the basement until i got my new pet.
I just began training as a dog trainer, what are some resources I should look into to improve myself? Also, any tips for dog training? I already know Cesar Millan is trash.
Also, dog training general I guess.

read this book and do the exact opposite of whats written in there
The association of pet dog trainers has a good reading list. Volunteer with dogs. Are you doing an online course?

Kikopup and Zak George are two dog trainers on YouTube. They've helped me a lot with my rescue.

There's probably some kind of insect larvae inside them, kind of like with Mexican jumping beans.
Do animals have a concept of "cuteness" as in would they be like "daww that's cute" with something that is not their own young?
In social mammals, adults play with the young, so that is probably closest to such feeling. Not just their own offspring either, in a lion pride they will play with other cubs too. Also adoption does occur but I don't know a good example.
budgies with yellow faces have an easier time finding mates

>"daww that's cute"
how do we measure that in a non talking animal?
I'm not sure if this is a real thing or just a lot of people around me do this but.
How come so many people who own Huskies have pairs of them? Like is this some kind of thing with huskies where its better to keep them together or something?
I don't think it's that common, but it could just be that they love huskies and dogs usually do better with a dog companion, so they chose another husky as a companion for the first dog.

Hi an. I recently moved from a rural setting to a city apartment complex. Where i lived before was kind of trashy: illegals and white trash. They didnt keep their dogs contained and they were often allowed to roam, taunt my dogs at the fence, etc. If they were injured they were left to limp and behave aggressively towards me and my dogs on walks.
So suffice to say: mine are not socialized to unfamiliar pet dogs. They do fine in a park setting or indoors with other dogs, but they are reactive to passing dogs.
Today there was a spaniel on a flexi lead. My small dog barked...

You should muzzle your dog during walks while you are working on this. It would suck to have something serious happen to where you have to put your dog down.

Yeah, was considering buying a basket muzzle.
Thats only a bandaid though, not a solution.
My first loving cat died of Feline leukemia 2 weeks ago and I'm so stuck trying to process it. That cat would let me hold him like a baby and purr. He still did it before he got sick. It didn't help that the Fleas infested him while we treated him with medicine and did our best. Louie is the father of the cat shown in the picture. He was a huge orange cat with a hidden pattern on his head. What's most sweet about him is that unlike most cats Louie actually liked the kittens and played with them until he died. Izzy gave birth to patch a Black cat with white on...

I'm sorry anon.
Every time my 3 month old puppy meets another dog they just smell each others asshole.
Why do dogs do this?
Someone put it nicely, it's like the dogs are looking at each others Facebook page.

If I wipe my dog's bum with baby wipes does that mean I'm deleting her social media accounts

A little bit
But they're never REALLY deleted
I don't know how well versed /an/ is in deep sea marine life, but I was curious if any of you could identify something with this description:
Black, serpent-like with pink cheeks, used to attract prey
I don't know how long it is in length, but here is a picture of a pink lipped moray eel for your time.

Found a tiny turtle today, what should I do with it?
Tie a helium balloon to it and send it to space
>>2076864
Put it back where you found it.
Let it go where you found it because it takes a special type of autist to enjoy turtles in an aquarium.
If you do keep it, 55gal tank half full of water, really good canister filter, some floating island bullshit, specialty lights.
