2 MB,
So my family laid down this path a couple years ago. Tarp, rock, brick, the works. The path has become overrun with grass and weeds. I'm tired of fucking mowing over bricks and pulling weeds. Does /an/ have any easy ways to kill the grass for good?

Roundup/glyphosate. There's stuff that's longer-lasting but don't apply it anywhere that roots from nearby trees/bushes might travel beneath. Or, if you're worried about the bees (and, really, we should all worry about the bees), you can use a mixture of salt and vinegar with a touch of dish soap to help it stick. 1 gallon regular white vinegar, 1 cup salt, a tablespoon of dish soap. If you use 2 cups of salt, nothing will ever grow there again.
>>
>>2161817
To fix the problem you need to dig up and redo the path. However it is easily treatable like>>2161892 said.
>>
>>2161892
I have to advise against roundup or any other herbicides. In my experience, they're very hard to contain and will end up killing things downstream from where you apply them. The only thing to really do is tear out the stones and redo the path. You might try mulching it this time.

2 MB,
My mother just came home from the vet. got Spike (to the left) X-rayed, lower back and legs.
Apparently it's pretty bad. we may have to put him down. i don't want him to go, /an/, i don't know how to deal with this. he's my pupper. i picked him out, i named him, he's my closest friend i have. i don't want to lose him. how the fuck do i deal with this? we've had him for around 5 years now, he's only 6. he's too fucking young to just be put down. he's still fucking happy. his tail still wags and he still stares at you like...

i don't know how to deal with this. I've had dogs before and they got put down, but those times were so... sudden. i didn't get to know about it. but now he's right there, it's hard. hard to accept, hard to cope.
>>
I don't understand. What is the problem with the dog?
>>
>>2161783
There's something wrong with his lower back and his left hind leg. supposedly he's in pain from it, but i haven't noticed anything like it from him. he's kind of stiff, though. so i suppose that has to do with it.
i still don't fully understand either.

What is wrong with this cats tail????!

>>2161723
Accident or someone cut it off. That breed shouldn't have a short tail.
>>
>>2161733
I've seen it around with the same tail for weeks. I saw the back, but wasn't quick enough to snap a picture.

From the tip of the tail, I saw dried up blood.

My mom says someone must have burned her tail, but like I said before, i've seen this cat around with this tail long before 4th of july.

Hello /an/ons,

Why do cats bury their shit, do big cats also do this?

General cat shit thread.
11 replies and 2 images submitted. Click here to view.
>>
Because unlike dogs, they do not use their poop to mark their territory
>>
They do this to hide their whereabouts from predators

I'm pretty sure big cats don't try to hide it as they use it to mark territory and such. Or maybe they do cover their shit so there isn't piles of shit all over their territory.
>>
>>2161699
>>2161700

Meant they use urine to mark territory.

So it seems like I have an insect nest in my backyard. Stagbeetle, Lucanus cervus to be exact. They're on the endangered species list in my country and I want to keep the nest safe.

What do these things eat and how do I protect them?

What do you mean by nest, OP? Their larvae eat wood. As long as you don't disturb them, they should be just fine.
>>
Dead, moist wood.
Lay off the pesticides.
>>
>>2161673

It's a full blown nest, I've just seen 2 of them having sex. I can transfer the nest to a forest if things go out of hand

This just sounds terrible. Dogs like company and a nice, safe house to live in too. Seems cruel to chain them in your backyard so you can keep your house clean and ignore them more easily.
>>
>>2161503
I vacuum often and don't let my dog on the couch or chairs so there isn't any hair on the furniture. Only way to stink up your house is if you're too lazy to clean to begin with.

My mother called me asking for help with one of her cats. She appears to have had an early pregnancy miscarriage and really needs antibiotics. She used to be able to get that liquid amoxicillin that tastes like bubblegum from her vet for like $15, and it helped with just about everything. But that vet has retired and all the other local vets want around $100 just to see her. My folks just don't have that right now to spend on one vet visit.

Is there anywhere online I can get liquid Amoxicillin without a prescription?
Thanks

Can't she feed the cat Amoxicillin pills?
>>
>>2161449
When I told her I could only find the pills without an RX, she just said it had to be liquid.
From my time living at home I can say none of our family has ever been very successful at getting cats to swallow pills...
>>
>>2161446
Try looking for "Fish Amoxicillin" on Amazon or the like, same works with other antibiotics. Exact same shit you get from the pharmacy.

Give a dog a bone and you feed him for a day. Teach a dog to bone, and you can film it and sell the footage to perverts on the internet.
