is it in/near water?
Spinosaursus could potentially drown the rex the way crocodiles do to take out large prey, but if that isn't an option, T-Rex has the high ground, being bigger wont necessarily play into spino's favor, it's just not built for land based combat against similarly sized aggressors.

I also saw this Swan at Ellesmere. At a fantastic restaurant on the Mere. I have forgotten the Restaurants' name alas.

Hey /an/ what is a good pet bird to get? I always loved cockatoos but I'm not sure I'd be able to handle the screaming some of them do. The thing I like most about them is how much personality they have and how loving they can be. Do you know any other birds that grow really strong bonds with their owners?

My girlfriend has a Quaker parakeet and the fucking thing screams so often I want to crush it in my hand and throw its lifeless corpse off the balcony. Fuck those things.

These guys are underrated, I think. Care similar to African fat tail geckos but different personality. Out and about exploring the tank about the same frequency as leopard geckos I have kept.
First for mittens.
Will getting a dog make me feel less depressed? I'm against drugs and want something to make me feel better.
You'll get overwhelmed by all of your new responsibilities, then end up mistreating or neglecting your dog. Fix the underlying cause of your "depression" first before you commit to getting a pet
>>2162646
You ought to go to /fit/. Exercising is a great way to combat depression, because you get a boost of endorphins (natural high to combat chemical depression) and you begin building up more testosterone (more if you're a guy, but still a noticeable bit if you're a girl) which boosts your confidence/assertiveness (combats psychological depression). I was on a buncha meds for depression before that only served to kill my libido, which made me even more depressed. I decided to go walking around the neighborhood...

Pretty solid advice from other anons - a dog is a big commitment for the duration of its life, and it's not a feels-based decision to take lightly. It will all be based on if you can personally turn yourself around - if you can, a doggo companion to help you go further could be the best thing in the world. If not, it'll just be even more miserable for both you and the dog.
t. someone also going through that inital phase of sorting myself out before I get the pupper treatment
What must it be like to live with a giant who could literally crush you with a single step if you are standing in the wrong place?
the same as living in a populist 'democracy'
I wondered this when I had a parrotlet that was barely bigger than my ear yet slept with me or ran after my feet
I guess since animals aren't aware they don't really think about it.

Aren't dogs known for not treating their owners the same way they behave with their kind?
What terrestrial mammal has the widest distribution? I can't find it via google.

OP here, wrong image.
probably humans

Besides humans, it probably has to be the brown rat. Little shits have travelled everywhere with us.
Who else has a dog afraid of fire works?
Man, I have a dog that just got spayed and she is too scared to go out to pee. The neighbors think it's fucking Hanukkah or something with 8-days-of-fireworks from 4pm to midnight every night. I'm not even exaggerating. It's been going on for a week. I am tired of steam cleaning the carpet.
>>2162121
Why dont you just call the cops
>>2162122
I wish I could. I've called cops on people for less. It's the entire neighborhood. We live in a subdivision of 200-or-so houses, and there are at least 20 different houses that I could see going at it. And they aren't like bottle rockets and spinners. They're the HUGE ones that echo miles away.
I don't even get how those are legal for anyone to buy and use. I was always under the impression that anything big enough to go 200ft in the air and rattle window panes probably required...

Eat it you nasty motherfucker

no seriously
i have to pick it up but i don't know where to put it and i'm tired of waiting till trash pickup days to be rid of it

You don't have an outdoor trash bin? You could try flushing it too. Not that hard.
My husband and I got a new kitten over two week ago and have yet to agree on a name. We both like the name Sprocket but my old neighbors used to have a cat named Sprocket and he may or may not have been killed by a coyote. I feel like giving him the same name is bad karma but I mean, he's going to be an indoor cat and also our other kitten is named Peanut. My aunt used to have a dog named Peanut when I was younger, so I feel like naming him after another dead animal is kind of like keeping tradition. I don't know what to do, I just really don't know. Help my guys,...

Call your cat Jonesy.
Stop rambling like a moron and clarify the bonus situation.
Pft.
> already have a cat named peanut
>not naming new cat pistachio.
Do something cheesy and make a portmanteau of the two names y'all pick.
Or just fuck it, pick something, and realize it doesn't matter because he will have at least 6 nicknames in a few months.
How to remove /an/?
wash gently in warm soapy water, crack open into an oiled paper, and briefly sautee at medium heat until the whites are opaque

Hi /an/,
My father owns a puppy about ~8 months old that he has asked me to take care of while on vacation. He showed me his routine for the dog which seems fine, except that he advises I mix his kibble with a can of wet cat food. I looked it up and it seems like cat food can be bad nutrition-wise for dogs if you keep feeding it to them for a long time. However, I tried mixing his kibble with some wet dog food I have at home, and he refuses to eat it. Is a dog eating ~2 cans of cat food a day (2 meals a day) okay, and if not, how can I get him to eat dog food exclusively?
>>2161855
the only trouble with wet food is obesity and developing bad tooth health
my mutt eats a rabbit shit and dirt clod buffet everyday and is 14 years old so go figure
regardless, the animal will eat when it gets hungry enough cat food or no
>>2161855
Wtf? They should not be eating cat food as there is plenty of types of dog food. It's 2016. I don't understand. These are two different types of animals with different nutritional needs.
>>2161874
Keep in mind this is my dad's dog, and my dad doesn't seem to understand the idea of going to the vet and keeping pets healthy and such. If it were my dog, I would've never given him cat food, because as you said, dogs and cats are obviously completely different animals. However, now that my slightly senile dad has gotten him eating cat food, I don't know how to get him to eat normal food.
