I want to make my own, but I am still trying to get ideas of what to do with it. Also the roof is a bit of an argument; I want a wire roof so I don't have to worry...

I really love this. I'm thinking of asking my roommate if I can do something like this but he's picky about grooming the yard. I want a large airy enclosure to attach to a catdoor for the cats and ferrets to go in and out. In the grass.
I was thinking a slanted glass roofing, will block the rain and snow, but not the light. Catdoor will be always open so they can come in any time
>>2117517
Glass roof spooks me because hail is common here. It would be a good idea, but my main thing is I want grass, and I'm not sure how good grass will do with no water from the rain.
Pic related, another grass alternative so the cats can still enjoy the grass, and I could have a solid roof
Ferret proofing one has got to be a pain in the ass though. How would you manage that? Plexiglass sides? And catios can be beautiful if done right, it would be perfect for plants that climb
Why is trying to raise a coyote as a pet a Bad Idea™?
It's a wild animal and not domesticated
>>2112750
It's fine to befriend a wild animal that trusts you, but never consider it a "pet" like you would a domesticated species.
>>2113007
No it's not ok to befriend wild animals, especially ones considered threats. Coyotes can and have killed people. You shouldn't encourage them on your property or interact with wild animals like coyotes, bears, foxes, raccoons, etc. You just do more harm than good. You're risking their lives and possibly putting other people in danger of being hurt.
The best thing to do with wild animals is leave them alone or if you must, relocate them if they are a problem. If they are hurt, you call a rehab...

Oh please this
I need to know more about these
>>https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tropical_house_gecko
Where I live they sort of appear on their own and reproduce a lot, but they're stupid and the young ones die quite often.
I want more of them so I've been thinking on some sort of gecko feeder or 'fake environment' but I have no idea of where to start.
Starting with food that doesn't escape, ideal temperature and whatever else I shouls think about.
also...
>is it okay to call them lizards?
Die how?
The easiest thing would be to leave out a dish of water, and a plastic rubermaid tub with some crickets in it if you really want to feed them.
Also yes, they are lizards.
>>2121270
super small ones have wandered a lot in places where there's too much water for them, so I'm guessing they drown.
Breeding crickets would be a good idea, it seems. I just want them to eat up spiders and mosquitoes.
>>2121274
Breeding crickets is the worst thing ever. I highly recommend roaches over crickets, they're better and easier in every regard, and the feeder kind won't infest your house.
can we resettle African lions and camels in North America?
there were once american camels and lions so they will probably adapt and the ecosystem will probably adapt to accomodate them in the long run. And we won't have to travel to Africa to see lions / camelos.
are there other extinct animals in one region we can resettle from another?
>>2120935
That's stupid. You're stupid.
>>2120964
This. OP, you are truly an imbecile.
There's a campaign to get about 60 Rhino's from Africa to Aus.
Have you ever felt the need to discover the new species?
Have you ever wanted to go to the deepest depths?
Are you just too pussy and want to explain why? (Like me)

Sometimes I daydream about the oceans drying up so we can walk around the ocean floor and discover pieces of history

Where's the badger thread!?
Here it is!
My friend bought a feeder mouse to give to his pet and I wouldn't allow it, so now I have a feeder mouse as a pet. I went to petsmart, bought a small cage, some food, and a little igloo house for him/her.
What else do I need to know? What are some good names for a mouse and how long do they live?
Name it Lab Experiment.
I was thinking of getting a live bird to feed to my cat

Google is your friend.
Feel free to ask questions but know that there are a lot of resources out there that could answer your question a lot faster and accurately than /an/.
Make sure to include these things in your post before asking because we can't help you if we don't have the full picture:
-tank size
-parameters
-any and all inhabitants + how long you've had...

If I get a couple feeder goldfish to drop in an old water fountain, will they take care of mosquitoes? And if I put a live plant in there, will that keep their water clean enough to make the fish survive through the summer?
I'm not interested in turning them into pets.
>>2119290
Yeah but here's much better option called mosquito fish. They live to fuck up mosquito larvae.

I just saw this documentary about how animal agriculture is ruining the Earth. It also inspired me to go vegan!

So I was tending to my backyard and spotted a bunch of these bugs. I've never seen them before and would like to know what they are and if they're dangerous or not.
Here's another one with a bunch of them together.
