My roommate has one of these and it hates the everloving shit out of me. It's cool with him, it's cool with his girlfriend, it's cautious around strangers but it snaps at me anytime I get close. Even if I just put my finger near his cage he starts knocking his open beak into the side of it.
I've never done anything to this bird; in fact, I rarely ever see it since it's in his room most of the time. I just want to make friends with it. how do I do that without losing a fingertip in the process?
Feed it millets
spend time around it without touching it, give it treats, eat food it can have in front of it and offer it some, get it used to you
but also be prepared for it to not like you anyway it sounds like your roommate hasn't really socialized it well

you probably look like the thug that shanked his mother in a dirty alley that cold November morning so many years ago.

What kind of pet snake should I get? Stuck between a corn and a garter, can I have both in the same tank?
Any general info to know before I get started?
>>2120829
Corn
for
fucking
sure.
>better yet get a bearded dragon
>>2120829
No you cannot house a corn and a garter in the same tank. You can, however, house two garters in the same tank usually without any trouble. They are fairly unique amongst snakes in that they do tend to live in close proximity to each other in the wild.
Corns are quite a bit bigger as adults than garters. Garters have a more specialized diet. Corns do fine on frozen mice their entire lives.

buccinators muscle and some other I can't remember right of hand.
they're there to move the lips and cheeks for eating and communicating.
What the FUCK is this disgusting creature? It looks bloated and nothing like the caterpillars on this plant. Although it's colour is similar to some of the chrysalis, I guess. I can't tell if this thing is dead or alive, parasitised? Is it the same species of butterfly that is on this plant but something has gone terribly wrong? It doesn't look right at all. But it is hiding in a folded leaf like the normal caterpillars do.

This is Bailey, I rescued her from an awful environment. She was tied to a tree and left to die. I wanna keep her and nurse her back to health but I don't have the funds for it. I'd like to ask for help with the vet bills and meds for her. I spoke to a vet already but he couldn't do much cuz I don't have any money for it.
>>2120295
you can't afford this dog, if you can't pay for it now how are you going ot do it in the future?
loan money from relatives instead of begging
>>2120298
This. Give the dog to a no-kill rescue in your area so someone who has the funds to care for it will adopt.
>>2120295
Give up the dog if you can't afford it. You will just be a no good begger for the rest of its life
What should I do if my dog bites me when I try to get him to drop something he's not supposed to eat? Pic not related.
Look up 'resource guarding' on YouTube and watch a few videos till you fimd one that works for you.

So I was feeding bread to a bunch of ducks, crows and two geese in the park today. The geese started getting annoyed when I was trying to divide it among all of them and started tugging on my leg. Then one of the geese was kind of pointing at the bread and then down on the ground beneath it.
I like birds
Ack. I forget the breed of that goose, but yeah, they're super friendly and awesome.
>>2120004
>they're super friendly and awesome.
They are hellspawn, minions of satan.
Scourge of little children everywhere.
With that said it was hilarious when one bit my niece.
I think that's the only kind of goose we get here in Sweden.
If you really liked them then you wouldn't feed them bread idiot.

Call the humane society, tell them what's happening with your rabbit, then try to give it up for adoption.

Don't be a jack ass anon, it's obviously important to him/her.
Hey guys, today I was letting my African bullfrog soak in the tub to help him shed and my mom came in to watch. She has a thing where she obsessively likes to peel skin and pop zits and she reached in and peeled a big sheet off of him. He didn't budge or show signs of pain but I stopped her anyway. Will this harm him? What should I do to make sure his skin is OK?
>>2119664
If it came right off and frog didn't react I doubt it caused any harm. Tell your mum not to do that though. Frogs eat their shed skin.
What kind of joy do you get from having one of those as a pet?
They do look cool as fuck though.
>>2119664
Yeah he's fine. Like >>2120144 said, just tell her to not do that anymore.
>>2120512
I have a pacman frog, pretty much just a smaller version of an ABF. The main attraction to them is usually their willingness to eat, and the variety of what you can feed them. It's a pretty fun undertaking, plus they're fun to look at. Other than that they just sit there all the time
My dog started shaking his head a lot today. I immediately thought ear mites but his ears are perfectly clean and I thought that there would at least be redness if there were mites. I also haven't seen him scratching his ears or leaning his head to a side, just shaking his head.
Should I just go ahead and buy some more drops? Should I worry about transmission to my cat? Do I need to go to the vet before I get the drops?
I just brought both of them to the vet about a month ago where the cat had to have surgery so my savings are a bit depleted. I can do the...

Call your vet for some regular ear cleaner, clean 2x a day until he stops
You can just call your vet for a consultation on what to do. They might just recommend ear cleaner as a first step, or they might suspect something else and want you to come in. There are lots of other things that can cause your dog to shake his had.
If it's just started today, his ears look clean and he doesn't seem overly distressed or showing other weird symptoms, I'd give him a day or two before taking action. It may be something silly like a bug bite or somehow getting water in his ears.
Is there a monkey species that uses sticks as weapons or simmilar stuff?

Can chinchillas process television? They get mighty lonesome in their cage and I thought they could use a distraction
< script > I bet it's just a background noise for them while they poop in their cage...so yes, they can't process it but the noise is probably enjoyable </ script>

I have often wondered if my lizards would appreciate some kind of thing to look at or listen to. One of my crested geckos has been pointedly staring at the wall across from his tank for the past hour and I wonder, d-do you want to listen to some music or watch tv or something? But I doubt it. He seems pretty content to sit and stare.
What does /an/ think of this stuff?
