Should i go into work tonight(Mcdonalds)? They want me to work an overnight shift(10pm - 6am) on New years eve, even though i worked both Thanksgiving and Christmas. I plan on quitting in a month or less anyway. Should i just call in?

depends. do you have remotely anything good going on tonight? friends, a girl, anything? or will you just get hammered?
imo, if i could get paid to work tonight, i would. why not start the year off one step ahead of everyone else.
YOLO, do what makes you happy.

Fellow McDonalds employee here.
I'm early shift (5AM), and I work tomorrow as well. You always have the option to call out, but honestly, I don't think it's gonna be very busy, as many people are likely going out to get hammered as fuck. Although tomorrow morning may be a slightly different story. Drunk people apparently come to drive-thru overnight, so there's a good chance you'll have a laugh. I say keep the shift, man. It's gonna look bad on you anyway, calling out on a Holiday unless you have good reason.
Don't get me wrong, I've called out my fair share of times, but I generally avoid Holidays -- my boss is not a happy camper when this occurs. Again, it's up to you, but I'd keep the shift. Pretty sure wage is going up anyway, like today, atleast for me. So as the other anon said. you'd be a step ahead of everyone.

I would also like to add that McDonalds does have a day off book. You could have requested off any day you wanted, as long as it's a week before the next schedule is posted. For me, that's on Monday.

If you need a new job after this shit one, keep in mind it's always easier to find a job, if you already have one. If not, fuck it. Go have fun for me, cuz I'll be at work all night while my coworkers get to be off.
