I had written a pretty comprehensive post but my phone deleted it so whatever.
Heres the tldr:
If you start freaking out just tell them you're going for a stroll, or that yoi need to be alone and go outside the zoo and find a spot to chill.
If they ask you what you're doing just tell them your mirin the animals, or thinking about stupid shit like whether the hippo is overweight, or whether the monkey in the cage is horney or not.
Or tell them you're thinking about burgers, and they might subconsciously want a burger so they'll stop by a burger joint.
Consider this an opportunity for a new experience that you may never come across again.
