Is it worth it to get a shrink, /adv/? What are you experiences? Did it help you with your problem or help with any issues you had?
My life is pretty together but I have CRIPPLING self doubt when it comes to girls and I don't know what to do anymore (not a virgin though)

most people pay a shrink to hear em talk cuz they have no one to actually talk to in real life. but now that we have the internet this is becoming less and less common cuz you can just get online and whine there.
this is why shrinks are more likely to diagnose you with actual things like depression as well, cuz it guarantees you come in for 'treatment'.
but generally speaking you are paying someone to just listen to you and give you advice.
you will feel good until you stop paying this person, cuz as soon as their gone, despite how much you learned, you no longer have anyone to rant to and talk you through your problems.
instead, try and open your life to talk to someone about this and get advice. seek out a mentor. or a buddy.
but i dont think anyone needs a shrink because they have a hard time with romance.
