there should be no problem with it. check with the landlord but he has no reason to care. generally speaking apartments DO have an occupancy limit, which is two people per room (as adults tend to share a room wtih their life partner, and kids with each other)

If the landlord gives a shit how many people are living there he'll put it in the lease and can throw you out for violating the agreement.
Some landlords don't give a shit.
Had one landlord tell me "I don't give a fuck if you're burning bodies in the furnace as long as I see my cash at the end of the month."
