Even if you don't pay rent, they have to go through the eviction process.
Getting everything valuable out of your apartment. They can seize it for non-payment.
Eviction takes at least a month in most places.
Sign up for welfare NOW. Check with the Salvation Army- some offices offer short-term assistance on rent and utilities.
