Not sure where to look. I want to convers with someone who is intelligent, with a good handle on philosophy and psychology. I feel a bit lost in life is there a Web chat anyone can recommend. I don't have much to offer in return so I'm not sure how to go about this.

General stuff, I'm trying to shape and improve my mind (high school drop out) and I need guidance. It's just I feel like my parents aren't very intelligent and my friends are no help.

I've been working my way through this book, it's helped but it's occured to me that no one I know will speak to me on similar subjects

seconding IRC, there are a lot of specialised channels. most of them are slowish, but if you poke around enough you might find something to your liking.
Thanks what is IRC?

Well, I don't really know any place, but you can start reading some books and some interpretations, using the references and interpretations you can jump to the philosophical and psychological ideas relations, and then get to know the base of the psychology and philosophy of those ideas.
Is how I usually do it cuz is kind of hard starting with pure matter when you can find the practical way.
Try with Herman Hesse or Jean Paul Sartre books, or modernist literature of your country, they have a lot of influence from all the world.
Also when reading a book you can check historical context and author influence's.
Ah. By firs think about which kind of story you want to read and get some recommendations at lit board.
GL OP.
