I'm almost 23 years old and my mom still treats me like a small child. It's to the point where I don't even feel like talking to her like 90% of the time. She still calls me "her little baby" for one. Also if I ever open the fridge she has to ask if I'm hungry then literally come over to the fridge and point shit out like I'm fucking blind.
I remember back in middle school I had a friend sleeping over and she woke up at like 5 in the morning and her first instinct was to tell me what's in the fucking fridge...
And I know 100% of you are thinking by now "well why don't you confront your mom?" Well because she's as fragile as a glass vase and if I come off as unhappy she not only gets really defensive but takes it very personally. She won't fucking change and its so annoying. How can you talk to someone who still sees you as a fucking toddler sorry I'm ranting ahhhhhhh
If you don't like it, move out. You're 22 years old, more than capable of looking after yourself

consider yourself lucky, I accidentally left my porn collection open when I went to show (full of lots of hardcore, rape, etc) and my mom saw it. She freaked the hell out and kicked me out of the house and has refused to even speak to me since then, that was over a month ago now.
It just sounds like your mom loves you and you need to calm down. Sure, it can be annoying being coddled but she does it out of love and probably doesn't realize she is annoying you. Move out if it bothers you so much. If you aren't willing to move out and you live there for free, quit being a bitch.

Sounds like a narcissist that chooses to infantalize you because she sees you as an extension of herself. This is not normal. If you're interested in learning more, there's an online support group called 'raised by narcissists' online. It won't solve your problems but it can help you learn how to deal with her. Unfortunately, the only thing you can really do is leave.
