My boyfriend and I have been dating for a while now, and everything seems good. He is an out-going person, well-rounded, educated, happy, and has a stable career.

We're going to look into tantric material as you suggested.
We have tried the "gentle" approach, but it takes quite a while and never amounts to anything more than wasted time.
We're both following the thread and making a little list. I am guessing we may have to set aside time where we can "practice" longer.
It's been a little over a month since I applied the death grip, but I've pretty much forced that out of the equation.
