Why is 23 the worst age?
For me its because I'm too old to be amused by 20 year olds but not old enough to feel comfortable around older people.
Wait till you're 29

What happens then?
>>17328181
the age where it's too late to do the things you put off
>>17328208
This. Dear god, this.
And then there's the nagging from your "concerned" relatives
>Why don't you have a house yet
>Why aren't you married
>Why don't you [insert adult thing here]
I'd kill to be 23 again
>>17328135
Because it's 1 year away from the best year of your entire existence.
Of course your brain needs you to feel shitty for an entire year so to then make 24 your best year.
>>17328229
Why don't you have those things though? You don't want them or you can't get them?
I'm absolutely fine being 23. That said, I'm a normie by /adv/ standards
>>17328135
Because your peers are leaving you in the dust getting married, starting families, working great jobs, finishing education, and you barely even started.
>>17328146
If you haven't kill yourself by then, you'll probably wish you were dead.
you'll start getting nagged when you hit 24. you'll finally be close to hitting the midway point and experience a lot more pressure to secure your future, even though realistically you have the rest of your 30's to keep working towards those goals.
>>17328249
not the same anon but sometimes life gives you a lot of set backs and sometimes we make decisions out of fear and want to be comfortable instead of striving for more.
>22
>almost suicidal
you're telling me... it gets worse?
>22 years old, turning 23 this year
>Asian
>Female
>No college degree
>No boyfriend
>No house
>Pothead, smoker, regular drinker
Despite the nagging I get from family, I'm relatively happy. I love the independence of nonconformity. I have fun and I don't take life too seriously. Maybe that sounds fucked up and childish to other people my age, but I enjoy where I am.

Male
White
No degree
Have gf
Parent dying leaving me a house
Job paying 13.50/hr with structured raises
Feels good man.
Except I have like 4200 in credit card debt, partly because of purchasing parts to repair PCs for my side biz
Oh well
>>17328135
I'm 20 and will amuse you. I'm also lonely as fuck
>>17328572
>Parent dying leaving me a house
You pay any of the bills currently? They do add up. Electric, cable/tv, water, gas, etc. Just sayin' if you weren't thinking about that shit. Then you have yearly property taxes, school taxes, etc. and those can get pretty high. My taxes are around $5,000/year alone granted I live in a nice neighborhood and a decent sized house.
Just be ready if you weren't considering these things.
>>17328572
Sounds like you're doing better than me. My parents hate the path I chose and I think I'm too old to find a partner now. Guys go for the young Asian girls. Though I win in the debt department.

Its an 870 sq ft townhome. Dues are about 100 a month. Combined utility bill was 93 for June in Texas heat.
>>17328582
Oh hai
>>17328608
Are you the azn grl? How would 23 be too old lol
>>17328614
Because I live in a city full of Asian people, and there are plenty of younger, Asian women looking for something less serious.
>>17328666
Eh. We all make it. I never expected to find someone when I did.
>mfw I'm 20
Feels good to have all the time and money the world can offer me. Granted, it's small, but hey, better something than nothing.
>>17328135
It's becaue you're autistic enough to think some number is a huge turning point in your life. Do you also think high school was the glory days?
>>17328683
I think high school was painfully awkward but fun

The brain shaves off a bunch of neurons thru about age 25 so its pretty appropriate to look at changes in the early 20s and compare experiences. It does seem like most people I know had really shitty times from age 22-23
