I enlisted into the army reserves in October and I'm set to go to training august 1st for 8 months.
My parents volun-"told" me to go work at my uncles and clean his disgusting backyard from Tuesday to Friday. This turned into Tuesday until the next Thursday. Now my father has done things mentioned in the following pictures, not mentioned are
-going through my Skype
-attempting to go through my computer history
-slapping me consistently
-trying to gain some sort of control over me by forcing me to eat breakfast
-interrupting me when I talk because I have a stutter and don't talk fast enough for him
-threatened to kill me with his hand around my throat
my mom kind of just let's it happen, says it's my fault and whatnot, but on the night he threatened to murder me, I was crying in my room hysterically and my mom came up and basically dared me to call CPS. "They'll separate you and your brother and you can deal with that yourselves. I don't give a fuck"
-my dad also pushed me into a window because I was messaging my then-girlfriend while I was grounded
Anyway, I'm at my uncles right now, and he's just as big of an asshole as my dad. PIC RELATED happend. What do I do?

OP speaking from at one point the same situation, I kicked their asses and never went back. I literally threw my uncle into the wall and told him to man up. I then left, went to community college. I now have a loft and live very very comfortably. I didn't see my mom for almost 4-5 years after that event. I saw her just last month when visiting my sister. she dropped everything and cried on my shoulder. I proceeded to distance myself. Life gives us these people as an example of what not to be/ what we could become with enough hatred.

All contracts are 8 years. Reservists typically get 6 years reserve and 2 years IRR. Active typically get 4 years active and 4 years IRR. the 4500 is the reservist gi bill, tuition assisstance. I want to leave the house, but I want to stay in my area generally, for sake of connections.

Basic training is psychologically taxing as it is physically. Drill sergeants planted an empty Powerade bottle in out ceiling tiles so they could 'bust' us. Guess what happened next: Powerade watch. We had to do rotations to make sure the vending machine was guarded 24/7, even though none of us had cash. Basic is full of dumb shit like that just to fuck with you. On top of the constant yelling and the physical demands, if OP's recourse to what he describes (assuming he is telling the whole truth - which I do not believe is the case) is to cry to the internet, he lacks the mental fortitude to make it.

Op here. I've gone through one week of marine corps boot camp during a trip with ROTC. It wasn't that hard but I was very drained, although I got through it. There's a difference between being drilled for a reason by your drill instructor for discipline and being threatened by your closest family. I guarantee it happened. I'm not complaining about a limit of computer time, I'm coplaonimg that he's only a parent when it's convenient.
