About to text girl from school for the first time, but im not sure how this works.
This is the first number i've gotten in 6years (im 23, former neet) and i got 0 experience with texting girls.
So im thinking about saying something like:

Don't use smiley faces, save for sporadically. If you're trying to be goofy or something, and feel like what you're saying may have the sarcasm lost - you can throw one in (I like the :3 face just because it's stupid and fun)

Im not really sure. Im trying to talk to the store people as much as i can when i buy lunch at school.
Not in the sense that i go for small talk, but I say "hi / bye" and the regular stuff. And every once in a while ill ask for help, even if i dont need it just to talk a bit.
