Is there a way to prevent people from accessing your e-mail, FB, on-line accounts and such after you die?

Is there a way to ensure they can't get access to them even if they have a death certificate and are related to you?

make your passwords less retarded?

these companies don't just hand over your account cause you died.

This seems like an unnecessarily paranoid line of thinking. I don't think this is a thing.
>>
>>17309930
why would you even care? you're dead, none of it matters anymore.

No one can guess my passwords as they are secure, but companies like Facebook and Google ca hand over your account to a next of kin if they can prove that they are related and have a death certificate

I don't want people to see my things after I'm dead, I can delete all my e-mails and such but I can't permanently delete my FB

That's your way of thinking, I feel differently.

If you can't help, please don't reply.

seems you are going to have do some homework by researching every company's TOS regarding deaths.

Some services have a fail deadly option as simple as deleting your account after a certain amount you do not login to more eloborate options like who, if anyone , if given any option if access your account after you die.

Seems you need to find some kind of dead man switch for your online accounts.

If you're really serious, you could set up something with a law firm that will act on behalf of you once they have a death certificate of yours.

Find a person you trust to receive a list of passwords after you've passed away.
That person should then delete the accounts and the related data as if it were you doing it.

If you can't trust somebody, then you'll need to buy yourself some trust from a notary/lawyer.

just make your wishes known to your family that in the case of an unfortunate accident that leads to your death you'd prefer if they respected your privacy and did not go snooping into your personal files.

That's really all you can do.

The easiest way is to put it in your will, I believe.
