The adult way to do that even if you're a guy is not to state facts and not picking a fight. Life is not about being No1. People who always want to be that at everything are usually laughed at behind their backs and will never have a good life. Be good at something, and have people respect you for that. Others will be good at something else and at that area they will be authoritative.
The manly way to solve this problem is to be territorial. Stick to something you're really good at, and be the authority there. Others will stick to theirs. If they infringe on yours, defend yourself. If you're good at what you're doing and people respect you, you will have the means to do it.
The womanly way to do this is to recognize you have inherent value of being a mother and a good wife. That's a valuable job that society needs just like any other, and be an authority there. Don't laugh inside. Just be classy, and tell them that you're a girl and it's not nice what they're doing.
