We get a lot of vulnerable people here, which makes it prime breeding ground for the cancer to spread. So the containment boards -mostly /r9k/ and /v/, but sometimes /pol/ too- raid us constantly, and they're the source of the cancer you're seeing.
It's unfortunate, but it is what it is. Until the site's leaders muster the political will to hand out global-permabans to the raiders (or, better yet, shut the containment boards down entirely), it will likely continue. It is entirely possible that even that won't work; the raids will just continue from whatever hugbox sites the bitter unfuckables flee to. But it's the least we could do.

I don't really think that will help though, since they will come shitting up other boards anyway. And from looking at the last few years it doesn't seem as if anyone tries to enforce anything anymore.

If I'm reading things right, enforcement actually picked up quite a bit around the time that the last call for janitors went out.
But so far they seem to only be issuing temp-bans (klooks like about 4-5 days), and they may only be board-specific. The raiders have had ample time to prove that this is not enough.

But like many geek-oriented sites, 4chan was founded in no small part as a haven from bullying. A place where the tabes were turned, and the bullies were the ones who got bullied. And there is real calue in that. But some of us -the robots, the /pol/lsters, and the like- haven't been so conscientious in picking their targets, and in so doing, these folks have become the same bullies they hated so much. And like the common bullies they have become, they deserve to be treated as they treat their targets, until they learn.

im kind of a new fag. been coming here for about a year. i came on this site expecting everyone, or at least the majority to be social rejects that have grew cold, and bitter due to the way they have been treated by society. I feel like the edgy attitude of this site is a part of the culture. sometimes it can slightly annoy me when people are being bullies on boards like this where people are asking for advice but i just ignore it most of the time
