This may seem low tier, but for practice go see the latest movies and write about them on sites.

write texts but keep them for yourself until you're confident your on the quality level you want to be. then keep writing texts and send them to magazines/blogs/whatever and ask whether they'd be interested in publishing them on their medium.

also make a portfolio website/blog where you publish the texts you're confident in but couldn't get published anywhere else.
