So I've been dating this girl for 2 1/2 years now, and I'm starting to question our relationship. I'm going to be going to college while she does her senior year of high school. She hates a good amount of things I like or find no problem with. Mostly Porn or anything sexual. I'm a pretty frequent masturbator. But even shows like Panty and Stocking (which is probably my favorite show), she fucking despises. When I look back on it, we don't have much in common. Just very general things: Pokemon, some anime, and a few video games. That's pretty much it. Even things like my music, she doesn't like. I'm starting to get into rap and other "ghetto" music. I like it, but she doesn't. It's weird how she says she doesn't like it. It's basically like "I want you to do what you want to, but I'm going to constantly let you know I don't like it".

College is going to be very difficult on us. We're both pretty introverted, but under the right circumstances, I can be somewhat of an extrovert. I know I'm going to be doing some drinking in college, but she hates drinking. I'm probably going to go to some parties, but she hates parties too. I feel like I'm gonna be slightly restricted because of what she wants. I know I'm gonna do stupid shit in college, but she's a big no nonsense kind of person.

What should I do? I want to wait until college to leave her, but I'm not even sure if I do want to leave her. I still like her, and wish her the best, but these things are starting to bug me.

If she is making you live life her way and forcing you to get rid of things you enjoy then she needs to realise she isn't fully in control
you need to set some ground to which you can both live at, if she is going to be bitchy and not understand that a relationship isnt a dictatorship then maybe you are better off without her

Break up with her, unless you plan on going to the same college. College is full of other girls that share your interests and are probably better than your current gf. Tell her you don't want a long distance relationship and whatnot, then you will be free to explore in college.
