A guy came by the house a while ago asking if I'm the homeowner. I told him no and then he said if he's my father in which I said he is my mom's boyfriend (me and mom live in his home). He then showed some body language while saying "your mom's boyfriend" in which seemed like he was trying to speed things up (like he was saying "dad. mom's boyfriend. It doesn't matter). He then asked if my mom was home and after I told him no he left and would come by later.
The question that I have for you guys is should I have said "yes" to him when he asked if the homeowner is my dad instead of telling him the homeowner is my mom's boyfriend?
I know that he was only interested in whether or not if I was the homeowner or not or if the homeowner was home and it whether or not he is my dad is irrelevant in that case.
In case you are wondering, I am 19 (I turn 20 next week).
