Signed a lease can't get out of it

I fucked up. Green text story short I signed a lease and forgot about and found a better place and never moved in to the original lease I signed. It would be okay if I could break the lease via payment but the only way to break the lease is to find a replacement tenant and given that:
a) The tenant would have to share a 4 bed 4 bath unit with 3 other people
b) It's summer and this college town is dead plus summer classes have already started
I can't find a replacement tenant.
I asked the employees there what they would do if I signed my lease but didn't move in and didn't pay rent, the only thing it would effect is my credit score.
This is my first year in college and I have no credit cards or loans. I have no intent to use credit score to get a house because I don't believe in debt and loans and it's possible to get a house in the future without a credit score. However I'm worred how much this will affect my future leases and finding a place to live while in college.
Tl;dr
Should I bite the bullet on this or should I work out an agreement. If it helps I may not be legally living in the country when I get out of college as in I'll be volunteering in other countries. That being said does your credit score reset if you live in another country for a certain amount of time?
