People don't do all that much, they read books, walk along the river, cinema, maybe play football or mess around with drones.
In the city it's almost the same, except there's now 150 different restaurants, 25 pubs and 50 bars. You wouldn't go there with your friends anyway, you'd want a girlfriend. And it's not like you're going to go to the museum.
You could always move to Barcelona or Amsterdam like every other weed smoker, and by move I mean just go there, hang out and sleep in a hostel for months.

I never solved that one, the best solution I know is just to push your career forward faster (more money later). Material possessions are surprisingly comforting. Apartments, boats, ponds with Koi Carp. Study, job, move. If university costs too much where you live do something abroad. There is a lot to do, too much really if you combine travel opportunities and possible career projects.

That's an easy push forward, so much to do. It's mostly a self-directed thing, a class will only skim the surface. I know it takes a while just to explore the field and get an idea of all the things there are to look into, nevermind actually learning them and producing systems (but do try things ASAP).
Could you live with your friends? It's basically the same, if you move in with someone you will know them in 2-3 days probably. But if you have a decent job you don't need to share.
