Going to be moving from NYC to Chicago soon for work. I don't know anybody there, and I'm a 27 year old dude
How do I start all over making friends and meeting people? Like, completely from scratch. It's easy to meet people through your current friends, but I will literally be starting from nothing
Considering how your picture is that of Goku and Naruto, I'd suggest reading up on Gunsmith Cats, and going to Mitsuwa and the local convention.

im barely into anime at all really, seen like 3 shows since 2006 but i went on meetup.com and joined anime groups and hang out wiht anime nerds. its great cuz they happen to be human and also like other things.
met my new bud via an anime meet up. weve done no anime stuff since then, we mostly play dodgeball hang out, planning some video game stuff etc.
so that being said, meetup.com. its great in los angeles. the trick is you have to actually go. not say 'NAH THAT DOESNT SOUDN LIKE SOMETHIGN ID DO' then not go, because you can and likely will say that about literally everything simply cuz youd never done it before.
which is funny cuz it makes you realize what a dull person you are demanding to be entertained.
