For real, this isn't a joke. I think it is actually possible, but I don't know how. What do I do to become a real super saiyan?

lift
Tense all your muscles really hard to get the blood flowing. Do it for a few minutes and scream at the top of your voice to get pumped up. Then you need to raise your inner power level
I hear you can only do it when you are in desperate need though, like when you are about to die or when your friend gets blown up.
put saiyan genes in your dna, workout hard for years, gain a lot of ki and then make your best friend die to make you very angry
Whip out the bleach and party hard with your new found confidence

Sort of.
The body is, frankly, much stronger and faster than is good for it. The reason we don't go around doing severe damage to ourselves all the time is that the unconscious mind typically limits us to safe levels.
Fear and adrenaline CAN override these limits, but this is not a superpower. You WILL hurt yourself, and badly. Muscles will tear. Bones may break, depending on what you hit or what positions you wind up in. Organs may even fail. In other words, it's less like a super-saiyan thing, and more akin to kaio-ken.
Uh... Die a bunch of times, watch your friends get killed repeatedly, suffer from random bouts of constipation, have the accuracy of a toddler...
Oh, and do one handed hand-stand push up in 300x earths gravity. Just cause.

Oh, and have an abusive whore for a wife.
