help me out
Ideally I'm looking for a long term relationship not a one night stand or a hookup.
24 year old virgin, new to the dating scene.
6'2"
built like a linebacker
I have aspergers, which makes understanding people harder, and I struggle with conversations on dating apps.
Going out of state for college in the fall so I'm wondering if it's even worth the effort of looking for a girlfriend before graduation.
I'm an outdoorsman, country boy, redneck. Whatever you want to call me.
What should I do to be better at meeting/connecting with women?
or am I just so ugly I should do the world a favor and off myself

Lose 20lbs, get some suitable glasses for your head, shave the neck beard, and don't wear camo unless you're hunting.

>20lbs
I disagree, he needs to lose more

If you live in a big city, go out to nightclubs and practice talking to women. Anonymity is let, you don't want to practice somewhere where soon you'll become "that guy". That should help with your social skills, might even get laid.

20lbs would make him look average, and is a pretty realistic goal.

If he's 6'2", 20lbs would only make him slightly less fat.
I think you should grow you hair
What kind of women do you like? You should probably lower your standards. I feel like guys like you tend to go for girls that are way too far out of their reach and just end up looking creepy.

This.
As you are, OP, you look like you're in your mid-30s. That shirt, the extra weight, your hair, and those glasses aren't doing you any favors. Even if you decide to wait until after graduation, don't put off bettering yourself.

I've tried, it ends up looking like an afro if I grow it out.

I'm not a city guy, I'm a country boy.

You are actually about to have the best chance you'll ever have. You're starting a whole new chapter in your life. Nobody there knows you or your social reputation or what everyone in high school thought of you.
You could, if you could pull it off, redefine yourself as one of the cool kids. But at the very least, you'll meet a lot of people with no preconceptions about you, who will take you for what they see.
And you'll be in a setting where EVERYONE is a stranger and eager to meet people and make new friends.Your first semester will be full of get-to-meet-others dances, parties, and meetings. Go to them all. Say hello to the person ext to you in each class.
Don't worry about finding a girlfriend at the start. Make as many new friends as you can. Some of them will turn out to be girls.
Meanwhile, someone a few posts up offered some good grooming advice you can being on now.

Lose weight, that double chin needs to go right now. Either shave the beard or grow a proper one. Bottomless glasses are hideous, go buy some full frame ones or ditch the glasses altogether. Grow out your hair, that hairline is terrible and the close cropping makes you look 30. Those clothes need to go, right now. You're over 18, no more graphic prints. Solid colours only.
