It "works" but it isn't worth it. You're popping blood vessels and scar tissue forms. It'll get bigger because scar tissue is formed quickly and unevenly. But it will reduce sensitivity and how hard you can get. I gained half an inch in a few months but it takes forever to get hard and it's mot diamond hard like it used to be. Search around there's men who are permanently limp because of it.
