I'm 23 and have a fairly low-paying job, but I make enough to pay my rent +utilities, and buy food, but not enough to have a car.
How much is not having a motor vehicle hindering my chances with women as a male?
I've been biking everywhere because I live in a fairly dense major city in the US.
Thought?
Depends on a country.
Europe - practically does not matter.
Murrica - isn't it a must?

If you're in a big city then it doesn't really matter as long as you're able to pay for the taxi ride back to your place.

I do live in the United States.

I can afford a taxi, but not too often. I have a budget and the taxis around here aren't cheap.
Women always seem to get weird when I tell them I don't have a car and bike to work and what not.

I personally wouldn't mind, but if you go out on a date with someone don't go on a bike. If they didn't come on a bike as well, you'd make things weird. Go by bus.
Other than that, if you come back to your place after a date offer to pay for the taxi.
A car is a sinkhole of money. If you can barely afford it now, you won't be able to afford going out on dates anyway.

Where will you park it?
