If you try to change by letting her do it, you're not gonna feel right/yourself. If you try to change by yourself, you might miss some important traits that others may like.
I'd suggest a compromise : you let her tell you what's wrong and you tell her why it is like that if you know it, also don't change anything unless more than one person notices it and tell it is wrong.
There is no shame in being yourself as long as you're the best person you know.
