>I stay in town, he goes back home 8 hours away for summer
>lately he's been texting me, I realize I like him a lot
>find out he has a bad living situation and needs to find a new place to live asap
>I'm moving into a new apartment that has room for one more

How awful an idea is it to offer him a place to stay at my apartment, until he gets on his feet? It sounds awful what he's going through, but I don't want to come off as clingy, desperate, or crazy. I just want to help him out somehow and can only think of this way.

I mean, that's what I'm worried about. He's been flirty lately, and I can't tell if he's interested or just a suave person. But I guess if he accepts my offer, he's cool with it, and won't mind living as my roommate briefly.
