Someone told me I don't enjoy clubbing because I'm not an attractive girl and therefore if I want to enjoy clubbing I have to make an effort to talk and interact with people
But I don't know how you can socialise with people when there's extremely loud music and everyone sticks to their own social groups

As a UK university student, I wish more people knew you don't have to enjoy clubbing. I also wish more people knew that people don't want to socialise in the traditional sense, the question is do you want to meet friends and talk or hook up?

Clubs are overrated. Meeting people at clubs is usually a shallow experience and not worth it unless you're into the one night stand fucking thing.
the only times i've ever interacted with anyone at a club was when i've been milling around outside in the smoking area. it's where the people who are sick of the loud music often retreat to, and you can hear yourself think.

If you are at least average you WILL have guys try to grind on you. Speaking from experience here. Just go with it, let them lead. Prepare to be grouped though along with some licking sometimes.
I will say I don't enjoy hooking up in clubs. I have tried it but im not a big drinker and the reality is even the hottest guys that you get with will smell like shit beer and sweat and try to stick their tongue down your throat.
When I go out now it's either with just a FB or the girls and we just dance.
Why do I like to dance? I'm very good at it and I enjoy the attention. I will let guys grind up on me a bit but I don't take it further than that anymore. At least I haven't for over at least a year. Waiting for my prince charming hehehhe

Unless your club for some reason doesn't have bunch of men in it there is pretty much no way you can't hook up in them unless you don't want to. The only reasons really would be that you are so bad looking they don't want you even after few drinks, you actively refuse their advances or you passively refuse with the way you act.
If it's the first then you can't help it, for two and three change your attitude. Try to have fun or at least pretend you are having fun.
