It's like a badge of honor or something for some. Put in so many stupid posts and you can go to reddit and pretend to be hardcore. Not that this site is extreme anyways nowadays, it just has more lax moderation.

Cancer was getting pretty bad in the past few years - came to boiling point, and then we had the exodus of 4chan.

The amount of visitors probably remain the same, but the people who posted reasonable quality posts all left in the exodus.
