Does anybody else have maladaptive daydreaming? And if so how do you deal with it?
I did when I was younger, like early teens. I basically thought about how much time I wasted, and what I could have been doing instead.
What do you daydream about?

I mostly daydream about different worlds and stories. They're quite elaborate and complex.
I never knew what that was up until you made this post Op. Thanks, I guess? I think I might have the same habbit. But this all depends on what exactly is going on in both our minds.
I personally daydream about situations that aren't about myself, fantasies, if you will, regarding my otps. But on occasions I do take a moment to try to sort things out or think about whats actually happening in my life.
But when it comes to daydreaming about realistic things going on in my life I try to actually face them, but probably not at full force. Just little by little.

Do you have repetitive motions? What I do is pace around my room

When I'm daydreaming? Well, usually if I'm thinking about real life stuff I like to daydream about it as I'm walking, but not pacing. It really depends, either im already walking around and I think of things or I go get up to get something and I'm reminded of whatever I was analyzing earlier.
But when it comes to the fantasies I like to stay in one spot.
Why?
Usually, for me at least, I find that pacing helps stimulate the fantasies and I was wondering if anyone else does that too. Does walking around seem to help them be clearer?

I have it since school and it's mostly otps or crush fluff with porn. Fantasising about real life is mostly imagining dreams coming true. Totally unproductive.
Sometimes i try to make stories up and write them, but porn is more relaxing. Not in a physiological way, I don't masturbate until i'm in bed.
I can daydream literally as much time as I have and I pace around if I can too. Be it 8 hours or half an hour. It messes with my life, I slip into it whenever, wherever I feel bored or anxious.

When you tried to write stories did you basically get bored with the process and just stop and daydream?

I do it rarely and not mastered it enough to be satisfied with the result or finish at least.
My daydreams are visual and bright, i hope i can write a webcomic or rpgmaker game sometime in the future. Not good with writing.
Sometimes i see characters in my lucid dreams and it's awesome.

Well I hope that webcomic or game helps with the daydreams
