Do it now in 2013 before you still have a chance, don't bother wasting 3 more years doing nothing till you lose your chance.
You probably have ADHD at some extent, you need to put more effort than "normal" people in concentrating your thoughts in a single task. You won't have any major problems because of it but you can improve your relationships with people if you start working on it right now.
Your family loves you, your friends appreciate you don't fuck it up thinking you have them for granted, do things for them too.
The understanding of love will come to you when you love not when you're being loved (as you probably are right now).
