Why do girls always walk with their arms crossed? Girls, are you really perpetually on guard?
>>
>>17179032
yes.
>>
>>17179032
I sometimes walk with my arms crossed because I'm not wearing a bra and don't want them to bounce too much.
>>
I'd imagine it's more because they're perpetually cold (which if you ask any girl, they usually are)...
>>
>>17179048
Affirmative.
>>
>>17179045
>>17179048

So that's two possible explanations, I guess. What does that say about small-titted girls in the summer? I mean, it's literally 90 percent of girls who cross their arms when walking alone.
>>
>>17179062
Sometimes I don't like having my arms at my sides while I walk so I just cross them
>>
I always gathered that they're timid and afraid they might get raped at literally any moment. So you're all saying it's actually because these bitches are cold, even with a sweater on?
>>
>>17179048
I laughed. This is true. Fun fact, there's actually well-understood physiological reasons for this. Among other things, women's blood vessels tend to be narrower and farther from the surface of the skin, so their extremities literally do get colder faster than men's.

I don't have anything smart to say about the OP question.
>>
>>17179032
Girls are very insecure. Especially the confident ones.

>inb4 delete this
>>
Yes. Being a girl is feeling uncomfortable for 90% of the time.
>>
>>17179180
>>17179267

Okay so is it a mixture of being cold and insecure? Does being cold make girls insecure?

>Why do girls always

Girls aren't a species of Pokemon. They all do different things for different reasons. Anyone who asks questions or answers questions in absolutes about a gigantic group of people is an idiot.

Everybody is a special snowflake, but every snowflake is made of fucking water.

Well, they do expose the most skin.

This.

I think the other anon meant being physically uncomfortable 90% of the time. I'd argue mood swings should be a subtype of physical discomfort because they are due to scheduled hormone rollercoaster rides and there's nothing you can do to stop it. The hormone peaks and troughs do collateral damage on the nearby amygdala by binding to those receptors as well. I look forward to the day that we figure out exactly how to block this mechanism just like ibuprofen partially blocks the 15-different-kinds-of-sick-at-the-same-time feeling when your uterus decides to have a cleanup.

That or waiting for evolution to make uteruses responsive to inhibition from the cortex. (Aka I tell it, "shut up, we're not interested in babies yet" and it stops growing an endometrium until I'm making 300k and married to someone right. )

>Girls aren't a species of Pokemon
Heh, they are many species of Pokémon.
Look up "trigglypuff"
>>
>>17180180
So girls who cross their arms are on the rag? That makes sense.
>>
if i do it i just really don't want people to start up chit-chat with me. then again i usually have my headphones in as well, which most people get these days. but either way i notice that i end up doing it when i'm in a rotten mood.
>>
>>17180341
Okay, so you're a bitch.
>>
I usually cross my arms when I am:

-cold
-angry
-insecure about my boobs bouncing for whatever reason
-am standing idly and just do it because it's comfortable
-am not wearing a bra and don't want the roommate to see my nips pokin out

Does that answer some of your question OP?

You didn't say anything new, cunt. I want an all encompassing reason why girls cross their arms when they walk. I've noticed they also look down when they do so. They literally walk looking at the ground with crossed arms.
>>
>>17180904
Probably because you keep staring at them and they;
One. Don't want you to get a good look at their breasts.
Two. Don't want you to get a good look at their face.
Three. Don't want to make eye contact so you don't mistake it for encouragement.
> g-girl looked at me when I was staring at h-her, what do?
>>
>>17180904
They're submissive scared cunts
>>
>girls, are you really perpetually on guard?
Yes. Ask any girl, yes, we are.
>>
Having your arms crossed is a non verbal signal they want sex
>>
I only walk with my arms crossed when I'm cold.
>>
>>17181151
Pretty much this. When I walk like this I'm pretending it's someone else's arms around me. Im hoping someone grabs me from behind and drags me to an alley and gives it to me up the ass. It's the same with most girls.
>>
>>17179048
This.
>>
I walk like this a lot

1. I have big titties. It's comfy to either hide or support them extra. Also arm warmers.

2. I'm chilly a lot.

3. I am a lil guarded

4. Most importantly, I never know what to do with my fucking arms and I don't always have functional pockets.
>>
Usually if I'm walking with my arms crossed, it's because I want to make it difficult for someone to snatch my purse. I do it sometimes in crowded places, like the mall. Or I could just be cold or nervous.
>>
>>17179032
If the shoulders are "rolled/slumped" forward its more of being timid rather than trying to appear intimidating.
But if the shoulders are squared up and a woman is standing straight then it's more of them being "on guard" as you put it.
>>
>>17179980
I think he's saying there are commonalities we can see through human behaviour and this can lend some sort of rough approximate of how people will act in a given situation, and this explains why women cross their arms in front of them. I don't think something this abstracted from basic commonalities can be thought of in this way, since there are several reasons for anyone doing anything, but he's got a shell of a point.
>>
>>17179032
It's a cultural thing, now just habit, but ultimately based on a salute to St Ethweildra of Ulm.
>>
>>17179032
Those with big breasts got in the habit as young teenagers because they were embarrassed by them.

Those with small breasts got in the habit as young teenagers because they were embarrassed by them
>>
Walking with your hands in your pockets looks silly

I'm also going to assume it makes their purse or bag easier to go through and more difficult for pickpockets to rummage
>>
>>17180844
Not that anon, but you're not being purposefully obtuse are you?
>>
>>17180844
hurr durr

women don't like me

they are wrong because I'm the best
>>
>>17179411
Oh shit boi
>>
they are protecting their vital organs, but what the heck do i know
>>
>>17181791
I always considered tits to be vital organs.
>>
>>17180931
That doesn't read like how most women internalize and understand their behavior.
