I have a junk car. It runs nice and I'm completely fine with it. I don't care what others think about it because it gets me where I want so I have 0 complaints.
So today my mom says if I want a new cheap car since I've had that car for a year now.
Is it wrong for me to not be excited? I mean I didn't really care because I don't care for these kinds of things and she got mad for not really caring.
To be honest, I'd rather have the money instead of getting a new car. I drive a 01 chevy prizm. Windows aren't even automatic.

Nothing wrong with it, your mom's being weird for getting mad for you not wanting a new car.

What would you use the money for instead? Maybe she's upset because you're not like a normal dude who wants a sports car, loves sports, and dates stacies. Maybe she's upset because you didn't show enough gratitude? Maybe she's menopausal? Who knows?

"Thanks, mom. I really appreciate it. But right now my car is running, and I need a new computer/money for that special summer school/work on my teeth/whatever a lot more. Could we use the new car money to get that instead?
