I need some opinions on something that happened a while ago thats nagging at me, I am sure I made the wrong choice

>I walk over and take a look

>I leave but hang around nearby while people say bye
>something is bugging me
>Start walking home but say I want to take another look
>one of my friends starts getting angry about how its not my problem and how I should leave it because I am on a night out

tl;dr:
concerned about guy, end up doing nothing cuz friend
opinions?
Go back now or don't do anything and never hear about it again or call 911 and get him a ticket. Whatever helps you sleep at night.

Sounds like a dick. Intuition says drop him but you may not be able to afford to drop him because he's you're only friend or you work with him. Think about your future. If he, his pros and his cons are in your future. Then act.
