I hear people say "learn a trade!" all the time.
How easy is it to get into an apprenticeship program?

Were you born rich, white, and with a family connection to someone who runs one of these programs?
>>17118459
>rich
technically upper class
>white
yeah
>with a family connection to someone who runs one of these programs?
i know someone who's a pensioner in the union I'm trying to get into, does that help?
Does it help that I'm trying to get into a somewhat in demand field?
>>17118459
>thinking you need white privilege to learn a trade
Is this fucking bizarro world?

Don't listen to this stupid anon. It's much easier than he makes it seem
I got a job in a metal fab shop as a finisher. My friend worked there previously bit he just recommended I apply so I came in and handed in a resume. After a couple years I went to school to get my tickets for welding, it all flowed quite naturally. I had no previous trade experience, I was just a good worker and came to work every day.
>get $3000
>go to CDL school
>3 weeks later have 8 apprenticeship offers
It's usually just a matter of getting the right cert.
Depends, OP, are you 16?
If you're not 16, it's too late to start an apprenticeship.
