Everytime I start thinking about starting a project or learning a skill, I constantly have thoughts like "why didn't you start this years ago" and "its too late to be as good at _______ as you would've been if you started earlier so whats the point." Anyone else get thoughts like this? I'm not even remotely old. I'm 22, so I'm pretty sure it's just a mental thing. Is this an actual condition or just a thing that happens to everyone?

Yyup, I seem to be lapsing into cycles of procrastination and self-sabotage because I feel like I've wasted my years so far and starting something now would only be a desperate attempt at reaching something I should've started years ago, be it getting physically fit or learning a language, etc. I'm also 22 and I realize I'm still young but I can't seem to value my "achievements" in life. It doesn't help that most of my social circle are hard-working, organized people who are already graduating and starting, what I view it as, the adult life. Meanwhile I spent too long in high school, worked a shit job for two years without managing to even save any money and am now trying to get into uni into a subject I'm not even that passionate about. Just feels aimless mang.
it's never too late to learn something new, make a good decision, or positive change in your life.
