I'm a guy, and I am very emotional. Whenever I watch a sad movie, I am bound to shed some tears. I avoid being obvious about it when I'm with my friends, and hide it. However, I have a girlfriend now and I don't want to hide anything about me. Should I tell her I'm this emotional? She knows I am very empathetic, but not that I literally cry when watching pretty much any sad movie.
>>
sure, why not

Don't tell her out of context- that seems a bit excessive and weird. She'll figure it out when you weep at sentimental stuff. I wouldn't make a big deal out of it.

Does that really seem weird? I don't really cry at ANY sad movie or scene, but I get very immersed in movies and really "feel" the emotions. Also when I'm talking to my closest friends about things that are sad, and I feel they want to cry but are holding back, I also have to hold back crying as well.

No, it's not weird to be sensitive and empathetic. It's weird to say something like that out of the blue. When you watch a movie together or share feels with her, you'll end up crying and then you can explain. Nothing wrong with your behavior, but just don't feel like it's some kind of flaw that you have to "admit"

Pretty much this. Listen to this wisdom OP. You're fine, don't overthink
>>

I'm a sissy for emotions as well and my gf finds it fucking cute. She wants to see me on my fucking knees crying someday by watching a movie or some shit, bitch is a mad scientist with me.

I don't see your gf being much different.
>>
I feel safer with guys who express emotions. Then I know you're not a sociopath. Feel free to cry on my shoulder.
>>
I would seriously give anything for an empathetic boyfriend. Why not? I would just laugh at you crying anyway but not in an offensive manner.
>>
Movies really aren't emotional at all. You have to be a real sad sack to be moved emotionally by a movie, which lasts 2 hours at most. That's not enough time to care about the characters or anything in it.

Now, a good, long, story-driven RPG.. I'll cry over that, but only specific ones.

I hope this is bait
>>

Betting it is.

It's not bait at all. Why would you even think that?

Explain to me how the fuck it's normal to cry over movies but not a story-driven RPG.
>>
>>17094684
Because you've summarily lumped all movies together. I'm guessing you haven't seen many good ones or ones that have hit home. Perhaps because you think any movie that isn't disaster porn is a chick flick
>>
>>17094684
Firstly, I've cried for both in the past.
Secondly, movies can be fucking waterfall inducing lil' fucks.

>Because you've summarily lumped all movies together.
way to completely miss the point, Anon.

I lumped all movies together because they are all too short for anyone to give a fuck about what happens in them. Why should I care about the lives of some people in a movie if the movie is over in less than 2 hours anyway?

Movies are just a bunch of scenes put together to tell a story. It is much easier to become emotionally involved in a long RPG as you experience the journey from beginning to end.
>>
>>17094708
Then why are movies fun in general?
It's only 2 hours long anyway, not time enough to entertain in any way.
Movies are dumb, how are they so profitable?
>>
>>17094535
Armageddon gets me everytime
>>
>>17094721
Sometimes they can tell nice little stories, or they can be film adaptations of books. I wouldn't really watch one expecting to be moved emotionally, though, unless I was already emotionally invested in the story
>>
>>17094535
What I like to do is cast sleep on drakeemas
>>
>>17094708
You've already set your mind not to immerse in a movie because you don't believe you can care for a character in 2 hours. So you've already fucked yourself, OP. I can't imagine your RPGs are any good, you fucking robot.
