If you want to do that to yourself. If you have loans that are going to kick in, it's probably a horrible idea.

I'm an EMT and it's ok.
I live in NY so I can join the FDNY EMS and then promote to firefighter. Also the FDNY pays you to train to be a paramedic. You won't get rich but if you like helping people and being showered in thank you's it's a decent job.

I like the idea of helping people. I wanted to be a nurse but my grades will probably keep me from that.
