As the title suggests. Im searching for a place where i could just take a plane, take the bus, hike, and just start living there far away from civilization. Along the cost and islands would be preferable. I have considered phillipines so far. My budget is fairly decent. I am of legal age. This is not about why i want to do this.
SE Asia in general isn't the worst idea, but I wouldn't stray too far from civilization. Weather disasters and insect-borne illness happen a lot in that area and you'd need help when they strike. There are some pretty chill places in Indonesia too.
Cool idea until a hurricane / typhoon / tsunami comes.
Also you should learn how first symptoms of missing certain minerals / vitamins looks like. because McDonald may give you obesity, but living on some island can be much worse nutrition vise. Also tropical mosquito can give you super powers.
Maybe buy a Pocketbook, some solar panel and 64GB epubs to occupy yourself.

each island and possible lifestyle is different financially. 'fairly decent' is like applying to be a footballer and saying you are 'pretty decent'.
