Hey /adv/, I want to become a sort of semi-hermit. I work in hospitality right now (yes okay fast food if you need to know) and it is okay but I need a change. What are some good jobs where I am really alone by myself? Preferably that have part-time options (I enjoy my other projects), and a livable wage as I want to move out (even if it's living very tightly).
other shit:
>Brisbane, QLD, Australia
>only qualifications are high school certificate and certificate 3 in media
>19 years old
you could work as an overnight security guard, but the cash won't be much better than fast food unfortunately

I was thinking about this, but I'm a scrawny cunt. Would I still have a chance?

Was this a joke?
Get a job throwing boxes in a warehouse for UPS or FedEx or some other huge parcel service. You won't have to deal with the general public, pay and benefits are decent, and it's good work. Probably will get drug tested though.

Thanks for the suggestion. Don't mind getting drug tested as the only drugs I do are alcohol and coffee.

I don't know, but it's actually good advice. You would be SHOCKED how well-paid truck drivers can be, and you don't have to talk to anyone 96% of the time. When you do, you're literally just picking up/dropping off cargo.

I know this might sound pathetic but it's pretty important to me that my job take up as least of my time as possible. Thankyou though!

As a security guard you your not allowed to touch anyone an if someone doesn't leave you call the police, it really can't be any easier money

Thankyou!
Walmart overnight frozen/dairy associate . spent most of my time in the back in the cooler stocking and moving things, no one liked being cold

Yes, because being alone by yourself had always made you feel good about yourself, right?

Since when has lots of time to sit by yourself thinking about how isolated you are and scrambling for activities to get your mind off things ever been good for you, or anyone of your temperament? You're approaching this in a manner that will perpetuate your isolation and degredation.

Why should you care? but just to entertain you for a bit i'll bite
1. Notice I said semi-hermit. I might do shit with my friends every now and then when I feel like it, but I want to spend a lot of my time alone.
2. I have had periods of isolation before. Not total isolation, but considerable, and I was much happier than I am now.
3. I'm not even saying this is forever, but right now this is what I want. I need to focus on things.

try some janitor applications, they usually have work days from 6ma to 2pm (here at least)
