do guys like girls that are needy? who text them often (not like constantly, but a lot) call them often etc.??
I feel like ive gotten really clingy towards my bf and I kinda feel like hes better getting angrier with me/being more sensitive than usual and such...
so ive started to try keeping more of a distance (letting him text me first 80%of the time, set up plans, etc.) to show that im not super needy/clingy and im fine on my own
thoughts?
whats annoying, desirable, etc?
Everyone is different, I would say I'm similar to you in terms of how much contact I prefer.
It's good that you've backed up a bit, especially if he's been a bit moody.
I think as long as the timing and amount of contact is pretty equal between both people it's probably fine.

I like to hear from my SO at least once a day via text, but I like my space otherwise. I hate the phone, so calls without purpose would get annoying.
Clingy isn't good, but neither is a "I can take him or leave him" approach.

nobody likes neediness. no one likes a clinger. you have to have your own life, hobbies, shit to do, etc. i have terminated relationships over this.

I had a girl kept texting me constantly with really poor grammar. It just felt like she was smothering me with her illiteracy and I just stopped replying so that I wouldn't just tell her to fuck off.
Just be natural brah. Maybe he has shit going on in his own life.
