I know lots and lots, but they tend to be lessed focused on their hobbies (don't measure quantity of games, titles, sometimes play/watch only mainstream)
Behaving like a normal person didn't work for me, gave up games and anime - got depressed almost suicidal.

It's easier to socialize with people who have the same interests. You just have to find out who likes video games and mangas, too but you can also try to figure out what other things could interest you.

If you get along well, it isn't that important if they are a bit strange. You can still be who you are and have a great time, yet they might change someday.

It might not look like it is related, but I've been finding out about negative effects of internet porn. It is wiring your brain to be only satisfied watching it, numbing your pleasure from other activities.
I am now wondering if video games, anime, and internet in general aren't destroying my life, since I can't imagine living without.

To answer you, do you enjoy everyday life without anime and games? Are you always looking forward to those but not so much about meeting others or working? That's what I would think about. Of course it is only my opinion.

This might surprise you, but what you watch does not magically determine how sociable you are. HOW MUCH you watch does. It doesn't matter if you're watching anime or the local news; if you spend 75% of your day watching television and never leave your home, you're not sociable.

If you're concerned about being more social, get out more and be more social. Regardless of the stigma that you seem to believe, your hobbies do not prevent you from being a worthwhile person or from having friends. Only you can do that.

my bf is into anime, wow and the like. but he's also very social, confident, sporty and good looking.
