Can anyone here tell me about being a Music Theory major?

Why is it a meme?

I've always wanted to learn the cello, but have no idea what I'm going to Uni for (going back this fall, required to select major and two minors). Music came to mind at some point.

deffo wouldnt study music at uni if you dont already know an instrument, ive studied music and the idea of someone going who hasnt at least some prior knowledge is unheard of really
