I have some serious questions for OP that I understand might be embarrassing to answer or whatever but I'd really appreciate honest responses.
1) How old are you?
2) How often do you have sex and or masturbate?
3) Is it safe to assume you began masturbating regularly around puberty onset time or are you a lifelong abstinent type?
4) Detail your diet as close to your every day routine as possible.
5) do you use hair care products and stuff like that? Includes soap, shampoo, conditioners, etc.
I ask about the sex/fapping because there's a theory that too much of either results in MPB, either due to the rise in DHT levels which harm DHT sensitive hair follicles or because of semen loss (this is the ancient theory based on Taoism and Ayurveda).
Furthermore I'd like to add that if I masturbate too much too frequently, I notice my hair quality really gets pretty bad, like equivalent to smoking cigs or weed for a few weeks straight, how that damages my hair. When I don't fap for a long time, my hair seems a lot nicer. I'm wondering whether the apparent rise in MPB is directly related to our higher porn consumption habits thanks to the Internet.

I genuinely don't understand how anyone can think a grapefruit sized bald spot is more attractive than shaving it all off. I really don't understand why men do that.

are you a girl? it's true that some men don't seem to care about balding, these types usually always had short hair anyway and were indifferent to hair as complimentary or part of their identity. for others, it's a much bigger deal than that, and losing hair is perceived as "being sick"; it feels like a tremendous loss, not just something natural. you feel like you're losing part of who you are, so i think it's understandable why some guys cling to whatever they can with it rather than go full bald.
also consider things like, maybe having a shaved head brings up worse connotations to them than having balding hair. in other words, i see your point, and agree to some extent, but i have seen guys pull off a thinning/balding look somehow and kind of make it part of their identity, all part of growing up and whatnot.
just think back, we've all known older men who we met when they were already thinning or bald, and we never think of them any other way, it's just how we see them. to that guy himself, though, he might remember a youth with long, flowing locks and a glorious lion's mane, so he only sees the absence.
