How do I deal with tinnitus?

I can't hear it only when I listen to music, otherwise it's always there.
I also apparently can't go to concerts anymore, because even if I use ear plugs I still feel that it's become worse the next day.

Has anyone tried Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Tinnitus? Did it work?

Do you have trouble sleeping? A white noise machine could help.

what is tinnitus
is it a "peeeeeep" noise that you hear?

I can sleep, but because it's so loud at night I feel really anxious before sleeping. I fear it will become worse as I grow older (I'm 28).

something like that, it can also be a ringing or a "whooosh" sound, depending on the person

Self-bump

I've been taking some medication for it (3 days so far) no results yet but I've heard good things about it. Also, look for some sleeping audio, like ocean sounds and get a timer to turn it off. I use a fan for white noise.

It can be made much worse by dehydration. Drinks lots of water. Reduce mouse in your daily environment and stop using earphones.

I've had tinnitus since literally as long as I can remember. You learn to ignore it. If it bothers you as you sleep, get some white noise going, like a fan.

Unless you do stupid things to damage your hearing, it really won't get worse

Fuck... Reduce noise, not mouse.

I got it a couple years ago (6-ish/7-ish maybe) and it has gotten a lot better actually. The first few days i had to take cortisol-pills/drug.

In the beginning when i was trying to sleep i listened to my own breathing.

Just try not to think of it all day, don't make a fucking sport out of it to check if it's still there.

People are doing research about it (cuz it's big business) so we'll get a fix sooner or later Anons.
